Fire Survival Cables
Fire Survival Cables

At Tamra Wires & Cables, we manufacture Fire Survival (FS) Cables designed to maintain circuit integrity during fire emergencies. Unlike ordinary flame-retardant cables, FS cables continue to carry power or signals for 90 to 180 minutes under fire conditions, ensuring uninterrupted operation of life-saving systems.

Tamra FS Cables are available with both Copper and Aluminium conductors, giving flexibility for cost-optimised and critical applications. Each conductor is wrapped with mica tape, followed by XLPE, EPR, or Silicone insulation, LSZH/FRLS sheathing, and optional armouring for enhanced protection.

Certified

Our FS Cables are tested and certified to:

  • IS 17505 (Part 1): 2021 – Circuit Integrity under Fire Conditions
  • IEC 60331 – Fire resistance tests
  • BS 6387 (CWZ tests) – Fire + Water + Mechanical Shock
  • BS 7846 / EN 50200 – Fire-resistant performance in buildings
Applications

Tamra Fire Survival Cables are widely used in:

Fire alarm, emergency lighting, and evacuation systems
Public address & communication circuits in metros, airports, tunnels
Power supply to fire pumps, sprinklers, lifts, smoke extraction fans
Refineries, petrochemicals, and hazardous plants
High-rise buildings, hospitals, and commercial complexes
